The Cal quilt for the donation to the East West Players was quilted, hand-bound, packaged, and delivered a while ago, but I want to show-off the quilting.
With a larger throat in the sewing machine, maneuvering the quilt under the needle is so much easier. And now having had many more hours of practice, plus a conquered fear of marking the quilt top, quilting something other than squiggles feels more doable.
Plus, I've come to terms with my less than perfect sketching, which helps me get over comparisons to professor quilters' work. Their stuff is jaw-droppingly gorgeous.
Seriously, how can a person make that?! What amazing artistry and infinite patience.
